Jackfruit is a standard in most Sri Lankan homes as many people tend to be vegetarian. A versatile, exotic fruit that can be prepared at all stages of its life, we offer you what the locals call “Polos”, a young jackfruit. Cooked in a dark, bold flavoured curry, mixed with cinnamon and onion, your Polos curry is served with aromatic basmati rice and coloured with a selection of vegetables, accompanied by pol sambol (coconut chili) and sweet mango chutney.
